Voice acting
Star Trek Online features voice acting for an increasing number of characters, also including celebrity actors reprising their roles from various Star Trek shows.
Voice acting in Star Trek Online
When Star Trek Online launched in 2010 only few voice-overs were encountered in-game: Sector space narrations, congratulations messages and a few lines for Spock in “Past Imperfect” were provided by Leonard Nimoy and the original Federation tutorial featured voice acting by Zachary Quinto.
In July 2010, Star Trek Online received its first voice-over addition when Chase Masterson provided instructions on Dabo and some one-liners for the holographic recreation of Leeta. Over time, additional voice-overs were added for Feature episodes, Events, STFs and remastered missions - with voices being provided by Star Trek alumni, professional voice actors, and sometimes even the Cryptic Development Team.
Featured Guests
The following voice talent is listed as "Featured Guests" in the game's credits.
The year denotes the respective character's first appearance (though not necessarily their last). Actors may be listed several times if they portray additional characters over the years. Noted in bold are actors who are reprising a role they have portrayed on-screen in any of the various Star Trek series or movies. Noted in italics are voice actors who are announced to appear in-game at a later date.
