Quark
From Star Trek Online Wiki
Quark, son of Keldar and Ishka, is a Ferengi businessman, first a barkeep and then head of Quark Enterprises. He is a brother to Rom, the Grand Nagus of the Ferengi Trade Alliance, and uncle to Captain Nog of Starfleet. He can be found at his bar, Quark's, on Deep Space 9.
History
- Date Unknown: Quark opens Quark's Bar, Grill, Gaming House and Holosuite Arcade on the Promenade of Terok Nor, a Cardassian space station in orbit of Bajor.
- 2369: Quark retains his business when the station is transferred to Bajoran and Starfleet control, and renamed Deep Space 9.
- 2384: The Ferengi Trade Alliance plans to open an expansive embassy and gift shop near Quark's on Deep Space 9.
- Date Unknown: Quark is contacted by a representative of Hassan the Undying, who is interested in a played-out pergium mine Quark has recently acquired from his cousin Gaila. A vein of Decalithium had been discovered beneath the mine, and Hassan's representative, Raka, arranges to purchase the ore. Quark accompanies Raka on the first delivery run, during which Raka is exposed to catalyzed decalithium and reverts to his true Undine form. Quark is attacked by the Undine, but is rescued by Starfleet security. He is treated for radiation poisoning by Doctor Julian Bashir aboard Deep Space 9.
- 2393: Quark's Bar, Grill, Gaming House, Holosuite Arcade, Gift Shop and Embassy is exempted from the economic adjustements which occur as a result of Bajor's formal admission to the Federation. This leads to a significant increase in profits, and Quark is said to be in the market for a moon.

“Field Promotions”: The player answers Quark's distress signal, who is commanding the freighter S.S. Break Even.
“Second Wave”
- “Home Away From Homesick”: While looking for Bajoran Distilled Kanar, the player can ask Quark. There is a one in five chance he will or will not have any in stock.
- “Diplomatic Distractions”: The player deals with Quark to procure a holosuite reservation for Ambassador Surah.
- “Storm Clouds Gather”: Quark is one of several people the player can consult on Deep Space 9 prior to the summit. It is learned that he has since purchased a moon for himself.
- “The Search”: The players answer a distress call from Quark, coming from Karemma. He was hired by Elim Garak and sent there to make a specific purchase...
- “Quark's Lucky Seven”: Rom convinces his brother Quark to reassemble the team who rescued their mother in an attempt to steal back the Sword of Kahless from T'Ket's vessel. Knowing that Brunt will try to deceive them, Quark and Rom come up with a treacherous plan to fake the sword being stolen by Leck after its retrieval, when in fact, they give it to Grilka of the House of Martok after the mission is completed.
- “Home”: Aboard Rom's flagship, Rom and Quark lead "the cavalry" into battle against the Hur'q in orbit of the Founders' homeworld. After the conflict with the Hur'q is mostly defused, Quark talks to the player at his bar on Deep Space 9, explaining what happened after Leck 'stole' the Sword of Kahless which was eventually given to the House of Martok.
Other involvement
- "Of Profits, and an Ill Wind": The crew of the Coldstar transports Quark through the Bajoran wormhole to the planet Karemma, which is under attack by the Hur'q. Beaming down to the planet, they are able to fend off a Hur'q attack and reach a Karemman contact. This sets the stage for the events of "The Search".
