Mission: Battle of Wolf 359
Battle of Wolf 359 is a 5-player space Task Force Operation released as part of Season Thirty-one: Both Worlds. It recreates the Battle of Wolf 359 and players' ships are visually changed to resemble ear-appropriate starships. It features the voices of Locutus (Jean-Luc Picard), Benjamin Sisko, Admiral J.P. Hanson. Picard and Sisko feature their original voice actors via reused audio whereas Hanson uses a new voice actor. The mission conclusion features Ezri Dax.
Synopsis
The battle took place in early 2367 in the Wolf 359 System, roughly eight light years from Earth, between the forces of the United Federation of Planets and the Borg Collective. It is recorded as one of the most destructive battles in Federation history prior to the Dominion War.
In late 2366, a Borg Cube entered Federation space and destroyed the New Providence colony on Jouret IV. The U.S.S. Enterprise-D investigated the attack and was intercepted by the Cube, whose crew demanded that Captain Jean-Luc Picard surrender himself to them. Despite an attempt to hide from the Cube in the Paulson Nebula, the Borg boarded the Enterprise and transported Picard to their vessel, which promptly set a course to the Sol System. Starfleet Admiral J.P. Hanson ordered a fleet of forty Starfleet vessels to assemble in the Wolf 359 System to intercept the Cube before it reached its target. Meanwhile, the Borg assimilated Picard, turning him into a drone designated "Locutus of Borg."
By the time the Cube reached Wolf 359 in early 2367, the Borg had assimilated all of Picard's knowledge, giving them a great advantage against the Starfleet armada. All but one Starfleet ships were ultimately destroyed, with a death toll of over 11,000. Those present and scarred at the battle include Benjamin Sisko and Liam Shaw and some Borg Cooperative members. The battle also led to the development of the Defiant class.
The Cube itself was finally destroyed by the Enterprise after it caught up to the Borg in Earth orbit and rescued Picard.
The TFO begins as the Cube is delayed by the Bonestell. Waves of Starfleet ships seek to hold back the cube as it produces assimilation probes to attack ships. Once the fleet attempts to fall back, the Cube moves on leaving the wreckage of Hanson's fleet.

Walkthrough
At the opening of the battle, the cube is delayed by the Bonestell. Starfleet ships will assault in waves, beginning with the player ships, the Melbourne, Saratoga and Yamaguchi. During this opening phase players must take out the hard points along the 4 sides and the top of the cube, with 3 hard point each. These will regenerate in later phases but all must be initially taken out to continue.
After that, the cube will start producing Assimilation Probes out of the launch bay on its top side. Taking out all these probes is key to progressing the TFO whereas rescuing the life pods from destroyed ships appears optional.
Once all the Assimilation Probes are defeated, the cube will produce 3 Spheres from the same port. These must be taken out to progress. Then the cube itself will be targetable and must be brought down to about 50% health to conclude the TFO.
It is possible for probes/spheres and players to get stuck inside the cube so players should be careful about what powers are deployed against it.

Notes
- Much of the mission, including the ships (notably the inclusion of an Akira and Parliament class) and using the Bonestell as bait, is based on the fan-made Wolf 359 Project.
- In addition to using elements from The Best of Both Worlds, Part II and The Emissary, there is also a reference to only one life pod being recovered from the USS Constance. This is a connection to No Win Scenario (episode) in Star Trek: Picard.
- At launch there is a bug where the Melbourne, Saratoga and Yamaguchi do not have their correct ship costumes and are shown as Lafayette class instead.
